Waste Connections Rate Increase

Effective October 1, 2018, Waste Connections will increase their rate for residential solid waste pickup services. The garbage fee will increase to $10.47 and recycling to $2.06 for a monthly fee of $12.53 per household - a $0.32 increase per month.

Burn ban lifted

The Ellis County Commissioner's Court voted in favor of rescinding an order prohibiting outdoor burning at their Tuesday, August 14, 2018 meeting. Effective Immediately, Ellis County is NOT under a burn ban. This includes all unincorporated areas.
