The sole purpose of the Industrial Development Corporation is that of promoting, developing, and issuing bonds for commercial and industrial manufacturing.

Members serve three-year terms and meet on an on-call basis only.  City residency is required for membership. Appointments are made in July.

Members of the Industrial Development Corporation are the same as those of the Housing Authority, with the same term dates.

Current members include:  Jim Rodgers, Danny Hemphill, Richard Johns, Larry Pool and Margaret Hill.

The City Council's policy is to limit membership to one board/commission at a time in order to provide an opportunity for service and involvement to as many citizens as possible. Training is available to all new appointees.
